Disappointing Interview Process and Poor Communication
I recently went through an interview process that was unfortunately quite frustrating and poorly managed.
After completing two rounds of interviews, I was left waiting for nearly two months without any meaningful update or communication. There was complete radio silence during this period, which made it difficult to gauge where I stood or whether the process was still active.
When I finally received a response, it was a rejection with very generic feedback that didn’t provide any real insight into my performance or areas for improvement. To add to the frustration, I was encouraged to keep an eye out for other roles, which felt quite impersonal given the lack of engagement throughout the process.
Overall, the experience reflected a lack of respect for candidates’ time and effort. Clear communication and timely updates would significantly improve the candidate experience.
Interview went well. Wasn't too many rounds but wound up going with someone internal, so felt like a bit of a waste. Spoke with the hiring manager first and then 3 people from the team that the role would be interacting with.
