I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Asana (San Francisco, CA) in May 2016
Interview
Overall a really wonderful process working with recruiting. Very responsive, transparent and accommodated my accelerated timing. Phone screen, phone call with hiring manager, 6 in-person 1:1 interviews, final working session interview. Really thoughtful and smart employees- great experience in meeting them. The working session was a bit intense in style and feedback given- very abrupt and my thinking was cut off frequently. The other confusing and frustrating part of the process was the clear misalignment between recruiting and hiring manager. Expectations on next steps were either communicated incorrectly internally or the hiring manager was not as transparent or clear with me in regards to next steps.

Question 1
If you were to start tomorrow, what would be the first thing you would do to get to know your team?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Asana (London, England) in Sept 2023
Interview
I did two rounds of an interview and then was invited for a third, and then told they had other candidates they wanted to move forward with instead. I wish they had not gotten my hopes up about another interview. Overall, the interview was fairly standard, asking for feedback about how I had approached product marketing previously and about my experiences at other companies.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Asana in May 2023
Interview
Multiple steps with a mix of HM and functional stakeholders. The first step was a call with the recruiter, followed by the HM, and 4 different 1:1s with stakeholders. Then a final chat with the HM.

Question 1
How do you find the right balance between global alignment and regional relevancy?
I applied online. I interviewed at Asana (USAR Center, NC) in Jan 2023
Interview
The interview was smooth and focused primarily on my previous experiences and skills in organization and data analysis. The recruiter started by asking about my professional background, so I shared my experience in content creation, feedback analysis, and campaign optimization. She seemed very interested in how I approach problem-solving and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
We also discussed the company's expectations for the role, especially my ability to work independently in a remote setting. I highlighted my attention to detail and my experience using project management tools, which I think aligned well with the responsibilities. Overall, it was a positive conversation, and I felt that my background and skills matched their needs.
