I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Asana in Mar 2022
Interview
Asana had me do an initial recruiter screen, followed by a peer manager interview about management techniques, followed by an architecture screen that included some database theory, followed by a six and a half hour onsite that included talking to the hiring manager, some direct reports, cross-functional teammates, etc.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you conduct 1:1s?
How would you design tables in a SQL database for this situation?
(and a bunch of standard manager questions -- how have you helped people grow, how do you prioritize projects, what is your experience with hiring, standard stuff)
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Asana (Reykjavík) in June 2025
Interview
It is a total of seven interviews, The focus is on coaching reports (be prepared to talk about your history in doing that) and some technical competency (I was asked to design a simple dTa model to support a single function)

I had an interview with a recruiter from New York for a position in Reykjavik.
I was totally ghosted after it. She didn’t reply my mails with requests for a follow-up or feedback.
