I applied online. I interviewed at Asia Art Archive in June 2025
Interview
The interviewers asked questions about my job experience, research background, and interests. However, the overall experience felt unprofessional. Both interviewers seemed quite young, didn’t take any notes, and showed little engagement or positive responsiveness. Their English was also a bit difficult to understand.

Question 1
Why do you want to work at AAA?
How is your background related to this position?
How did you find out about AAA?
What do you know about the organization?
Had a brief conversation for around thirty min. with people from the team. Was asked to give a self introduction and discuss my interest in this role. The questions were normal. They were nice people to talk with.
But maybe just my personal feeling. They responded in a way as if they didn’t really believe in your statement about your interest (which I can understand though), saying something like “we are just curious because people usually don’t have this kind of passion” or “do you really enjoy it?”
I know I was not in my best condition that day and can totally understand their decision. But still find these questions a bit weird and confusing as I never encountered responses like this before at other places.
