I went through two rounds of interviews, one online and one in person, and both went well. Overall, the interview experience was positive. Toward the end of December, HR reached out to discuss salary negotiations and mentioned that an offer would be released within 14 days.
However, the process became frustrating after that. There was a delay, with the explanation that many team members were on leave for nearly a month. Later, I was informed that there were budget limitations. This was disappointing, as it would have been more professional to assess budget constraints before proceeding with interviews, or at least communicate the issue transparently instead of keeping candidates waiting.
There was also a review posted on Glassdoor by another candidate describing a similar experience. After that, HR reached out asking if it was me and shared an apology. By that time, it had been nearly three months of no communication, and I had almost forgotten about the entire process. I was then told that they would reach out if there were any openings in the future.
Such prolonged silence, followed by a generic response, reflects poorly on the company’s professionalism and candidate experience. Overall, this experience left a negative impression due to poor communication, lack of transparency, and unprofessional handling of the situation.
