I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AssistRx (Orlando, FL) in May 2016
Interview
I met with the Lead Developer for 40-minutes and we had a relaxed discussion about software development, tools, the company, and learning. He didn't really ask any specific technical questions that have clear-cut correct answers (e.g. describe extension methods and their uses) nor did he probe my character or work ethic directly. Instead, the flow of the conversation created opportunities to tie my software development experiences into conversation - I did not do this well enough probably.
Interestingly, I'm reading a book which describes an interview style that very closely resembles his and advocates the same design practices too. ("The Software Craftsman: Professionalism, Pragmatism, Pride" by Mancuso). Pick it up if you want some insights into his conversational style and probably their development team values - plus its a good book.
Background: We had many common interests but I did not get an offer. I respect his decision for not offering (stated reason was "too junior") even though I naturally believe I would have been a valuable asset for them. Nonetheless, the interview was a pleasant experience overall.
Best of luck to everyone interviewing and AssistRx.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AssistRx in July 2024
Interview
There was a lack of respect toward the candidate. I interviewed with them several times, including a screening call, an interview with the hiring manager, and a technical interview. After all that, they ghosted me. I have sent several follow-up emails. I have called HR for the updates. No response to calls, no reply to emails. In summary, they don't have respect for people.
I applied online. I interviewed at AssistRx (Orlando, FL) in Dec 2016
Interview
I was interviewed by 2 lead developers and the HR manager. The questions seemed random and disorganized. No white board. One of the gentlemen came up as unprofessional as he made bad comments about current and previous employees such as he being glad they left they company or should have been fired. The also mentioned I would hear from them in a week or two, they never communicated.
