Quick rounds but got ghosted.
In the first round with Robert, the conversation was fast-paced and focused on quickly addressing questions and tasks. Robert provided an overview of the role, outlining responsibilities like running SQL queries, creating table visualizations, and working with Excel features such as Pivot Charts and VLOOKUP. He shared a large set of documents for review and scheduled a follow-up meeting. We also briefly discussed sponsorship, where I mentioned that I wouldn’t need sponsorship for three years but would ideally require it afterward. The call was efficient and to the point, with next steps planned for the following weekend.
In the second round with Neville, Vanessa, and Julia, the conversation was more extensive and began with a detailed explanation of the company’s focus and challenges. The interview emphasized technical skills, including live SQL and Tableau-related questions. While I confidently demonstrated a Tableau dashboard, I acknowledged struggling with certain concepts, such as context filters, LODs, and the difference between filters and parameters. Despite this, I felt the discussion was constructive and identified areas where I could improve further.
