I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Attainia (Phoenix, AZ) in June 2016
Interview
The first phase was a non-video Skype call. I talked with a team member for about half an hour about general skills and experience, and overall had a good conversation. My recruiter told me they were interested in an in-person interview. We scheduled it for the following week.
It consisted of meeting in person with the team member whom I had Skyped with, as well as another team member in person and one over Skype. We talked in their office about my experience. A lot of projects I had done very closely paralleled projects they had done or were doing, so the skills lined up pretty well. They wanted to use a framework I hadn't before, but since I had strong familiarity with the language that didn't seem to be a problem. All in all it was pleasant and very positive.
After the interview I was taken around to meet the employees who were in the office, probably a dozen or so. Everything seemed very positive.
After about 2 weeks, I still hadn't heard anything from them. I sent over supplementary information, contacts, and offered to come in again, but no one so much as replied to my emails. Finally my recruiter said they had gone in a different direction, though they provided no details about what lead to their decision. I don't think it was very professional to be left waiting for over 2 weeks after a positive interview only to be cut off without any details as to why.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
It was mostly experiential with some questions about Python, Pyramid, big data management, and a few other stack-related technical questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Attainia (Phoenix, AZ) in Mar 2021
Interview
Phone screen with technical questions, then interview deciphering code and asked to complete some code. Two interviewers, nice guys and allowed pseudocode to be used for the coding parts. Python for the syntax questions.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Attainia (Phoenix, AZ) in Jan 2017
Interview
Applied thru consultant. Had a 1 hr Skype call. Then had onsite interview which went for 2 hours. They asked all possible technical questions and also asked to do a system design on white board. Every thing went fine and positive.
But to my surprise they gave feedback to the consultant that I don't have experience in Python and I was not selected. It's sounds very unprofessional and inexperienced. Knowing the fact on day one that I am Java guy and not python guy, they should have not proceeded with interview. They unnecessarily wasted my time and travel, I felt this is very unprofessional.
