In the screening call they asked me for my expected salary and After I posted my task , and accepted, I got invitation to discuss about the salary, I get shocked as the number that I heard is not applicable for a junior, and after I sent them my expectation I got a "we have decided to not proceed with your application".
My Problem here is that I told my expected salary in the first call, then I do spent time and effort in coding task and after accepted, I shocked with a very very low salary, why did not you discuss that from the begging and safe my time and your time as well !

Interview
Firstly, I had a quick chat with the VP of Engineering as a first pass. Then, I was given a task to complete at home with no hard limit in terms of time but preferably within a week. This consisted of building a small app and making it available on GitHub for review. Once completed successfully, I went through a technical interview session run by two senior team members with several high-level full-stack questions. Finally, I went through a session with the Head of People and the VP of Engineering to make sure I was the right fit for the existing team culture.

Interview
Chaotic.
I applied for a frontend position, after few minutes the recruiter start asking about backend.
She then proceeds to explain me that they are not hiring external managers and they prefer to promote within the company, yet you can clearly see "Engineering Manager" position on their careers page.
I feel like the recruiter (internal) had absolutely no idea about the company, it was a huge red flag.
Then they ghosted me, even after one more email to ask for update.
