I applied online. I interviewed at Authentic Campaigns (Washington, DC) in June 2026
Interview
I interviewed for a position here over the course of about a month, and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. After my initial interview with the CEO, I was asked to complete an assessment that took almost two days. I later advanced to a final 30-minute interview. Following that final round, communication stopped completely from both the CEO and the director as they had no HR/recruiter involvement. Even after I reached out to request a status update, I never received a response. I looked at their page on LinkedIn, and saw someone who posted about accepting the role one day after my final interview, even though I was told they "had more interviews the following week."
I understand that not every candidate will receive an offer. But after asking applicants to invest significant time in interviews and a take-home assessment, the least that a company can do is provide closure. A rejection email or even a brief status update would have been greatly appreciated. It also would have reflected much more positively on an organization that positions itself as supporting progressive values.

Interview
You'll be asked to do an initial screening, then a long assessment, and then another round of interviews. After all this, they will ignore you.
Stop ghosting candidates. Stop having candidates perform several rounds of interviews, as well as a lengthy take-home assessment, only to ignore follow-up from candidates when the ask about the status of their application.

Interview
Applied on website, 30 minute first round phone interview, asked to complete timed four hour writing assessment (unpaid). After submitting this, within a week received a generic rejection letter, no feedback, and no response when I requested any feedback for what could be improved upon.
