      Java Intern Interview

      Application

I applied through university. I interviewed at AutoRABIT in May 2026

      Interview

The assessment round consisted of MCQs, two SQL questions, and one coding question. The time provided for the assessment was sufficient, and I did not face any issues with the duration of the test. As a fresher, I found the MCQ section quite challenging, particularly the Spring Framework and Java-related questions, which appeared more advanced than I expected based on the information provided before the drive. One area where the process could be improved is transparency around the evaluation criteria. Candidates were not informed about the marking scheme or the weightage of different sections, which made it difficult to understand how performance was assessed. I would also appreciate more clarity regarding the evaluation of the coding and SQL questions. Using a standard assessment platform could help candidates better understand their performance. Another suggestion would be to conduct the initial assessment round online. Many candidates travel long distances to attend the drive, and an online assessment could help save time and travel expenses while still allowing the company to effectively shortlist candidates. Overall, the assessment was well organized, and I appreciate the opportunity to participate. I hope this feedback helps improve the candidate experience for future hiring drives.

      Question 1

One thing that could be improved is conducting the assignment round online. Many students travel from far places and spend a lot of time, energy, and money to attend the drive. Since the first round was based on a few MCQs, one coding question, and two SQL queries, it could easily be conducted online. Candidates who clear the assessment can then be called for the next rounds. This would help students avoid unnecessary travel and make the hiring process more convenient for everyone.
