My own interview experience consisted of three rounds, with the first being a simple phone screening to assess my communication skills and background. The second round involved a half-hour interview with a team lead who arrived late and was quite brusque, asking me to explain my background in less than 45 seconds and posing consulting-related questions despite the position not being in consulting. The third round was even more intense, with the interviewer being cold and aloof, firing off numerous questions and maintaining a poker face throughout. While I felt that I performed well in the interview and provided thoughtful responses, it's unrealistic to expect interns to be full-time employees who possess all the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience, yet receive only a minimal stipend. Internships should also be opportunities for learning and mentorship. Also, It is interesting to consider how these companies demand so much from their interns, put them through multiple rounds of interviews, and yet only offer minimal pay with no additional support.
