I was asked to complete a cognitive assessment not once, not twice, not three times, but four times. Yes — four. The interview process itself was fairly standard, and I genuinely felt a strong connection with the leadership team. I believed it was a good fit, especially since I lived just five minutes away and made clear my flexibility to support the business whenever needed. Having worked at a startup before, I know what it takes to deliver.
That said, the repeated assessment process felt excessive and, frankly, a bit of a joke. Ultimately, after the interview, I accepted a role with a pension fund valued at over $10 billion. Three years later, I’m still here, thriving in a leadership position.
