I recently interviewed for an Enterprise Account Executive role with Axiom and had a very positive experience throughout the interview process.
The conversations were thoughtful, detailed, and highly aligned with how I approach consultative, enterprise level sales. I received strong, real time feedback from a VP Sales Leader during the interview and left the conversation with a clear understanding of next steps.
However, the experience shifted significantly at the conclusion of the process. After being told what the next interview steps were, I received a generic rejection message from the recruiter with no personalized feedback. I followed up professionally more than once to seek insight on where I could improve or where I was lacking, but did not receive any response.
At the enterprise level, candidates invest meaningful time preparing for and participating in these processes. Providing clear, timely, and constructive feedback, especially after later stage interviews, should be a standard expectation that I was very surprised to not get.
