I responded to an job posting on the internet for this position. In the job posting, it requested to include salary expectations. I responded with $40K per year plus commission. Shortly after I emailed my resume I was contacted via phone by Axxon International for an interview.
This was positively the worst interview experience I have ever had in my life. The gentleman conducting the interview was very rude and made you feel uncomfortable immediately. He was very confrontational and argumentative. If you did not immediately answer his questions with exactly what he wanted to hear, he made a smart comment, for the most part, insulted you. When he asked if I had any questions, I asked how many openings they had - he said "why does that matter to you?". I am educated and have a and very successful background in sales and account management, this gentleman made me feel as if I was a kid out of high school with no skills. Never did I get any questions about my actual skills or accomplishments, it was almost as if I was being psychologically profiled.
The worst part of this is the overall job. You are basically chasing opportunities on the internet to give to others for bidding (Government Contracts). They pay is $9.25 and with that, you then have to pay an "office lease fee" - so if you include that, your almost below minimum wage. It is also a 1099 position. Now in the interview I was told how important "attention to details" were. If that's the case, why in the heck would you call someone in with a $40,000K salary + commission requirement in for a minimum wage job? My overall compensation with bonus/commission in my most current role is $86,000. Probably more than anyone in that company makes in 2 years.
Long story short, I have never been so thrown off or disappointed in an interview in my life. How they manage to get anyone to work there is beyond me. I would encourage you to dig deeply before going to the interview. It may be a decent role for someone looking to get some experience, but no one with experience would want to work there.
