***LONG POST*** There were a total of six (6) interviews for this position, which I find quite excessive. (Round 1 Interview) I had a standard phone interview that lasted at least one hour with two (2) managers who gave me a slightly more detailed explanation of the job description and asked me questions about why I was looking a change in jobs, what my daily work life looked like, how my experience is relevant to the job that I applied for, etc. (Round 2-5 Interviews) After a day or two, I was invited to interview at the company site with four (4) different members of upper management, which was very draining because I had to continuously explain myself, often times over topics that were discussed during my phone interview or with someone else on the same day that I interviewed on-site. In total, all of the interviews took well over 2.5 hours, and I was to wait to receive a call from their HR department should my explained experience be attractive to the company. (Round 6 Interview) I received an email about setting up a call with HR to discuss, assumedly, standard questions related to HR (i.e., Am I still interested in the position, salary expectations vs. salary budget), so I set up the call for a Friday morning. To my surprise, this "phone call" was another interview about the same things that I had been relaying to other members of management during the entire interview process. After about an hour on the phone with the HR manager, I was told that they would have a decision soon. I thanked her for her time, and I was relieved that it was over. THIS HAPPENED IN FEBRUARY 2023/MARCH 2023. It is now May 2023, and I have not received so much as a rejection email from anyone at this company. I waited patiently as I am aware that position decisions take time, but I got unfairly and unnecessarily ghosted. I will never consider taking a position from a company that is this unprofessional and cowardice.
