I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT (Swindon, Wiltshire, South West England, England) in June 2016

Really friendly, Chris and Leanne were the people there at the time, really helpful.
There was a test on competency but it wasn't to slip people up, merely to identify skills.
