      Data Scientist Interview

      I interviewed at BIOS Health

      Interview

I was invited to an introductory call with a Data Scientist and ML lead after few weeks of applying for the role through their website. Overall the interview itself was a positive experience. I enjoyed talking with the team and they got back to me with timely feedback after the interview. I was rejected after this interview because I didn’t have experience working with biomedical data which is understandable. However, I shouldn’t have been invited to the interview in the first place if this was going to be a deal breaker for the role. The type of data used in my previous projects were clearly stated in my resume. I’d recommend the team to set their priorities for the role and evaluate candidate resumes accordingly not to waste anybody’s time.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback following your interview at BIOS. We appreciate that your time is valuable, and we're sorry that you feel this has been wasted, despite the enjoyable experience you had talking to the team. Our first stage interviews are designed to explore candidate's depth of experience and skills in more detail, so we can effectively evaluate how this matches the role requirements, and needs of the business. Although not a pre-requisite for this position, experience working with biomedical data is one of the skillsets that we deemed advantageous for the role. That being said, we will be sure to review our internal processes and make improvements as necessary - thank you for your recommendations which we will certainly take on board. We always try to provide as much constructive feedback as possible after individuals have invested their time to speak to us, so if you'd like to discuss your application directly, we'd welcome you to contact careers@bios.health.
