I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at BNY (New York Mls, NY) in July 2008
Interview
My staffing agency sent my high test scores to BNYM's HR department. After a 5 minute meeting with an HR associate, I was asked to come back to interview specifically with a department. There, I interviewed with 3 people, over 2 days. An offer arrived almost immediately thereafter, but negotiations took about 2 weeks. They were not able to meet me halfway, but did meet my salary demands 1/3 of the way between their initial offer and my asking.
The work culture is rather laid back in most Sr. Admin positions throughout the company. However, if you are anywhere near competent, be prepared for a very frustrating stay -- instead of replacing the lazy, incompetent and self-serving, management almost company-wide seems to favor the practice of shifting disproportionate amounts of work onto the few competent employees they do hire, so that these few either grow disgruntled and leave, or learn to feign incompetence in order to play the system. BEWARE!

Interview
Did a pre-screen and then interviewed with 3 different people on the team in one day. Got an offer 2 weeks later. Work is easy but can also be challenging at the same time.
It was a bit challenging but worth it! I ended up accepting an offer and was very happy with the outcome. I was worried at first, but when I received the phone call, i was fine
I applied through their career site and then was contacted by one of their recruiters.
The process was smooth. I was interviewed by the recruiter and manager for the position through the phone. Then I was invited for an in person interview with 3 team members.
Overall, I was a bit nervous but confident in the role. The manager explained the role in detail.
I waited less than a week to hear back on an offer.
