I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Backbase (Cardiff, Wales) in July 2021
Interview
- Initial call with HR.
- One-week take-home test to build an app from scratch based on given requirements. Nothing complicated. Mainly test your knowledge on writing solid code with good test coverage with a bit of an algorithm aspect to it.
- 2 hours final interview with engineers and managers. Mainly about the project you submitted. And some behavioural questions.

It was the best interview process ever, the only thing that for me was unusual — it had about 7 steps. On the other side the company tries to get best of the best and this is the right way to do this.
