      Marketing Coordinator Interview

      11 Oct 2011
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Park City, UT
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Backcountry (Park City, UT) in Sept 2011

      Interview

The phone interview was casual and much more behavioral than technical. At the end of the conversation, they informed me they would get back to me later this week/ early next week to schedule a second group interview. After a week, I followed up. Quick, friendly response back saying: "its taking a little longer than expected to proceed, we will be in touch soon." Sounds good. I then continue to follow up once a week to check on the status and always receive a response like "sorry for the delay, and looking forward to continuing our conversations soon..." Well this back and forth went on for a MONTH until I sent a final follow up and they basically went sorry we kept you waiting and we are going to decline. Not a problem that you aren't interested, but a MONTH between phone interview and finally deciding to decline is not professional. Nice people, poor hiring process.
