I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bahama Breeze
Interview
First you apply online. Then they will call you in for an interview with a regular manager (sometimes two managers). If they like you they will sit you down with a general manager. Once offered a job (which will be on spot) they will call you back with a training schedule. Training is long and takes a week or so of coming in mornings before the restaurant opens but you get free food.
Easy enough. They ask typical questions about customer service and serving. Just talk about your experience and seem friendly. Also, be sure to have weekend availability as that is a basic requirement for serving jobs. You can change your availability later.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Bahama Breeze (Pembroke Pines, FL) in Mar 2024
Interview
Came in to meet the bar manager. Chatted and had a "get to know you" interview. Quick turnaround, she asked me to come back to meet the server and food service managers when they were scheduled to come in. They got to know me, asked my availability. You won't get hired if you can't work the weekends. They want someone who matches the vibe of the rest of the team members. They also won't hire you as a server without experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What's your experience? What's your availability/when can you start? How would you deal with a rude customer?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bahama Breeze (Orlando, FL) in July 2023
Interview
Had three interviews but it is typically only two. You meet with whomever is overseeing server staff at the time and the second is with the GM. The questions asked are pretty standard. What is your experience, why should be hire you, why Bahama Breeze, and what do your steps of service look like?
