I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Bank OZK (Little Rock, AR) in June 2022
Interview
A man conducted a telephone interview first. Then, he invited me to an in-person interview at the new shiny headquarters in Little Rock. I thought it went very well. We were both forthcoming and professional. It lasted just about an hour, during which he would read questions from a prompt on a tablet, and I would answer them sincerely. My responses were spot-on, accurate, showed my experience, and directly related to his line of questioning. I left feeling confident. He told me I would hear something from him (good or bad) the following week. Contrarily, two weeks later, I sent an email checking on the interview. He never responded. I sent another email a week after that, but still nothing. I called, no answer. That person over the data department ghosted me, and I still don't understand why. I don't want to chop it up to race or gender stereotypes (lots of white males in the IT department from what I saw, having a Black woman in there might have been shocking, idk). Regardless, a simple email back saying I didn't get the job would have been the professional thing to do, but ok.
