Online interview with engineer manager and another senior software engineer in the team The online coding test was very easy, leetcode easy questions. The last online interview experience with the engineer manager was very bad in my opinion. I haven't heard back from them but I will be surprised if they give me an offer. Even if they come back with an offer, 100% I will turn it down. First, they asked the question about my current job, about the tools/ frameworks/ tech stack we are using in my current company. Then they ask if I have experience with Java Microservice, Jenkin configuration ... ( the tech stack they are using in their team). I gave my honest answers about what I know and what I don't know. Then the engineer manager ask me a question "if you don't know it how did you do the online test so quickly. You said you don't have experience with Java Spring Microservice, but you were able to use for loop, if else in your test.... " It pissed me off a bit. It is something like you ask what is 1+1 ? in your test, then when we meet, you ask me the question about history, I said I don't know, then you think I was cheating in my math test. It was showing that you did not go over my CV properly, I never list those skills they were asking about. I managed to keep my response professionally by saying "I don't have experience with that Java framework but I worked with Java Swing before, I know how to use it and the test was not that difficult to do it." Then she asked can you name any of the data structures that you use in your application". I said "Set". Then what is "Set". I gave my answer. I feel like there was very little respect from the way the manager asked a question, then I just keep my answer short to end the interview asap. The senior engineer in the interview was ok, a normal guy in an interview I would say. But this is my first time experiencing this kind of attitude from the engineer manager. So disappointed.
