Interview
I got my interview through on-campus recruiting and networking. The interview itself was pretty informal—or at least a lot less formal than I had anticipated. During the actual interview it became evident that there was no actual vacancy. Instead, the interview was entirely fit-based and they were trying to ascertain whether I would be a potential candidate in the event that something did become available where they could then, I presume, grill me on technicals. Altogether it was a pleasant experience and the interviewer seemed genuinely interested in hearing my story.

Interview
Was set up with an interview through networking during on campus recruiting. It was very much a fit interview, and there apparently wasn't an actual position available at the time of the interview. As a result of my finding this out, it became overwhelmingly apparent that the interview was merely to see if I would be someone they'd want to invite back in the event of an actual opening. Questions weren't posed as threatening, seemed genuine, and very un-scripted—which I liked. He also offered his contact to use for personal help regarding interviewing, networking and the like so it was clear that he was passionate about his job/company and wants to be invested in the hiring process.
