The process was simple and easy. I did a phone screening to see if I had the availability and base requirements for the role. Then an interview with two members of the team I would be working for, which was mostly a conversation, no real interview. After that, I would send follow up emails every month after my interview and each time I was told they would let me know soon, with a positive connotation like they wanted to bring me on. After 5 months of dragging me along and making me think I did not need to keep looking for a position for the summer, I was abruptly told no and lied to about the reason. I was told there was no room for any interns this summer and then a friend of mine announces how excited she is this summer after just receiving an offer the day prior.
