I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Bayer (Berkeley, CA) in Dec 2015
Interview
Escorted from front gate to interview room. Had 30-45 minutes with each person on the hiring panel. Formal process, but the questions were not too technical. Half of the questions dealt with past experiences, and half dealt with behavioral situations.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bayer (Myerstown, PA) in July 2018
Interview
Interviewed directly with three supervisors of the group, all were extremely welcoming and kind during the whole interview process. Asked the usual questions regarding work and technical experiences. Kind enough to even ask if I had a preference for which department I'd prefer to work in (I applied for all 3). By far the best interview experience I've had.

Question 1
Professional/Technical experience regarding which instruments and testing techniques I've run. They provided a full list and asked how much experience I had with each item, if any.
I applied online. I interviewed at Bayer (New York, NY)
Interview
HR rep - "You did well on our interview but we had many applicants and the hiring manager selected candidates who are currently residing within a reasonable commute time to the facility in Berkeley CA."
Good luck out of town candidates.
