I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Beeswax (New York, NY) in Sept 2019
Interview
Had a recruiter reach out to me via Linkedin, phone screen, then had 2-3 separate phone interviews that were technical in nature. After that, I had an onsite and received an offer. Overall the process was seamless and the recruiter was very transparent with the process.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Beeswax (New York, NY) in Nov 2018
Interview
- Phone Screen
- Onsite with 3 rounds (2 algos, system design)
Overall, the process was pleasant. Recruiter was great to work with and everyone I met was nice. The onsite was more difficult than I would have expected, but all is fair.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Beeswax (New York, NY) in Sept 2018
Interview
I was contacted by the Beeswax recruiter via my profile on Hired. Within a few days had a 1 hour on-site interview with them where I was asked two simple coding questions, and then spoke with a VP about the company's operations, my goals, and whether we'd be a good fit together. The following week I had a full on-site interview, with 4 hour-long one-on-one sessions. One of my interviewers was one of the co-founders of the company. There were well-aimed questions on databases, binary trees, system design, and graphs. Within a few days they told me I'd passed the full interview, and asked for the contact info for two references.
After two weeks of preliminary negotiating and talking about a competing offer I had from a "big N" company, I had Beeswax's final offer. They expressed strong, honest interest in making sure my hypothetical role at Beeswax was a fit for what I wanted career-wise, and they listened to what I was looking for in terms of their offered proportion of cash vs equity, but the other offer was just too compelling.
In short, I had a very positive experience with Beeswax throughout the entire process. It's a smart, growing company and I expect great things from them, it just wasn't the best fit for me at this point in my career.
