First of all, we are sorry to hear that your experience with our recruitment process was unsatisfactory. We always try to consider candidates’ feedback and improve our recruitment activities.
We would like to add and clarify some points from our side: our Codility task could take max 190 minutes. Those 190 minutes include a time buffer, so extra time to think about the solutions. The task is meant for the position of Front-End Developer at Mid Level - with more experience, it may take less time to complete, so there is no need to spend more time than necessary. This is the info we send as brief information with the task in the e-mail each time, as an introduction.
We don’t provide the results immediately, as we have two-step verification. Firstly, the one made by Codility - our candidates receive confirmation and the % results right after they finish the task. The second verification, an extra one, is made by our technical Hiring Manager internally to check the quality of the code. It takes us max a week to review the tasks we receive from candidates and come back with feedback.
We also wanted to refer directly to your words: "you bad bb" - we have never used that kind of term, as it's not related to our way of internal communication. We are staying in touch with our candidates, and if we are not able to move forward with them, we send a direct message about it, with a general explanation behind our decision.
Last but not least, we start every recruitment process with the salary topic to make sure we're on the same page. Also, to respect candidates' and our time. If we can see we won't be able to meet at least halfway and the financial requirements of our candidates are higher than what we can offer, we do write about it directly.
As we are currently hiring, I hope that despite your discontentment, we will be able to meet again in the recruitment process, more pleasant this time. We will do our best to provide such an experience.
