I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Bending Spoons in Oct 2025
Interview
I recently went through Bending Spoons’ hiring process and found it unnecessarily complicated, frustrating, and ultimately not worth the time.
- Irrelevant assessments: The process included abstract logic tests and outdated brain teasers that had little to do with the actual role. It felt more like a mental obstacle course than a job interview.
- Vague problem-solving stage: During the live problem-solving interview, the questions were hard to hear and poorly explained. A simple PDF with the questions would’ve made a huge difference.
- Lack of transparency: Despite investing hours into the process, I received generic feedback with no insight into what went wrong or how to improve.
- Misaligned expectations: The entire process felt disconnected from the role I applied for. It seemed designed to filter out candidates rather than evaluate relevant skills.
Overall, the experience was draining and disappointing. If you're considering applying, be prepared for a process that values complexity over clarity, and don’t expect meaningful feedback at the end.
Firstly two rounds of online tests, including logical and statistical questions. Then first round interview is also logical question, but requires careful thinking. You need to think out loud and also correctly, don’t rush for the pace.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A logical question about flipping cards. How many times do you need to ensure a certain result.
Six rounds of different numerical problems, took a really long period of time to actually finish them, led to nothing. It's a demonstration of how careful they pick candidates, but also very time-consuming so you need to be considerate.
Ho fatto application e ricevuto i test. Il test era uno. Ho svolto un test di logica e domande di probabilità. Non c’erano domande particolarmente tecniche ma il focus era sul ragionamento veloce.
