I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Bending Spoons in Mar 2023
Interview
1st OA: 7 parts, 30 minutes each (except a behavioral one that took 1 hour). It consisted of reading comprehension (similar to GRE reading comprehension), data analysis and logic problems 2nd OA consisting of 2 parts, 90 minutes each to write code that follows the specifications + optimize it Supplementary: personality test + logic test (think 3x3 matrix pattern recognition part of an IQ test) Behavioral round with your recruiter Behavioral round with another person Logic round: doing simple math logic problems in front of another person. Your applied math degree will be overlooked if you don't do well on this, so do your best to be calm and collected Tech interview: more of a behavioral interview in terms of you & tech + a system design question in the context of what the company does (no pressure to do great there) It took me about a month to complete the loop and another month to hear back from the hiring committee I estimate that in total I spent about 12 hours of my pure time to do assessments, tests & interviews. I don't think I would recommend people to go through this process if they have other opportunities However, every interviewer was nice and genuinely loved the company
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Bending Spoons (Reading, England) in Jan 2026
Interview

Interview
Extremely long and inefficient process. You need to complete many long take-home tasks and you'll spend hours with those before even talking to someone.
The 3 interviews are nice and people really kind, that is a plus.
However, they asked for references and made interviews with them, only to get rejected in the end.
Had to do a technical 45min task that had questions from general logical reasoning and computation. The task was interesting although had to answer 7 questions in 45min so quite quickly
