I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Benefix (Lancaster, PA) in June 2021
Interview
Five interviews through 3 weeks. 30 emails, including tasks and competency evaluation. Was told I was an ideal candidate. Every interview was the same format and I was asked the same questions. After final interview, was told I was no longer in consideration. Waste of time and resources for both myself and the company and a truly bizarre experience. In hindsight, I believe if they truly did not want me to join their team, I must've been used by the HR department as training.
6 calls total, 2 assignments, within a 3 week period:
-Call w/ CEO
-Take home Excel Assignment
-Video w/ heads of Ops team
-Video with various other members of ops team (2 calls total)
-Mock Product Demo w/ entire Ops team
-Final casual hangout with the leadership team
Would require relocation to Lancaster, PA
As far as the interviews went there was a real focus on what you as a candidate wanted in a career, what Benefix is trying to solve, what type of culture Benefix has, as well as Lancaster. All parties, from the leadership team, to potential future coworkers, were all part of the interview process and as a candidate, you definitely felt valued and got a sense of community from this team, even in a remote interview process. Pulled out of the interview process before the final round, but I truly enjoyed getting to meet with everyone during the whole process.
The product is solid as well, and solves a major pain point that companies have. Revenue is projected to 6x just this year and go national as well so I'm very excited to see where the company heads. Equity is still offered as well so there is a monetary aspect to growing the company as well.
For the two assignments the first was a simple Excel Assignment and second was a mock product demo. Couple of days to complete both. For me personally I'm not sure what the point of the product demo was as it was in the later stages of the process, wasn't really any feedback after the fact other than a few questions, and lastly no explanation to how it was related to the role.
Overall a very positive and speedy process for a full time role. Brit who coordinated the interviews is really great as well. A great place to join a fast growing company that values both hard work, but a huge emphasis on culture as well as life outside of the office.

Question 1
Most focus on culture fit, but ultimately more of a conversation.

Interview
The interview process was thorough, with a phone screen by the CEO, followed by multiple conversations with both supervisors and employees. These were the most fun interviews I have ever been in, where it seemed like Benefix was trying to get to know me as a person as well as to gauge my working style. The interview process culminated with a social event to interact with employees in person.
