I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Benesch Law (New York, NY) in Apr 2026
Interview
Phone interview with HR. It is timed at exactly 20 minutes. HR is a former paralegal who asks technical questions about skills and experience. You can barely get a word in. You have to explain why you like the firm and role. The majority of the interview is controlled by HR

Interview
Interviewers were nice, there were six of them. They were all friendly, but all in a practice area I was not really interested in. Was kind of surprised they rejected me, but that is usually how it goes.
Offered an interview after submitting cover letter, transcript and resume. Standard OCI interview with multiple rounds speaking with multiple attorneys. Questions were as expected - experience, why Benesch, culture fit. Overall very friendly and passionate attorneys.
