Avoid this company at all costs, I went through a lot of time and effort over the course of 4 weeks for this role. At the end I was told they’d love to offer me a job but that owing to management changes it was no longer available.
4 stage process outlined below:
Video call with recruiter
Technical interview with team
Interview with hiring manager
Interview with CTO
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked good technical and competency questions expected in an interview for senior SWE.
Despite the shambles that the company seems to be, the interviewer and people were all lovely and switched on.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Best Buy Health in Aug 2019
Interview
The steps and difficulty were pretty standard for a Senior Level position, but they were more efficient and more personable than most other companies. Everyone was sharp, friendly and felt they were doing meaningful work. The process looked like:
Quick HR Screening
Quick technical screening with the manager
Longer technical interview with the manager
Longer technical interview with two members of the team
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I won't go into specific questions, but if you're a strong engineer they'll give you a chance to show what you know:
* General programming/architectural questions that gradually get harder to test depth of knowledge across a range of topics.
* Some actual programming, but mostly used as a starting point for more verbal programming questions.
* A few behavioral questions
Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We’re so glad you found our team members personable and our process, quick, informative and respectful of your time. We're committed to doing meaningful work and we're so glad that showed through in the interview process.
