      Interview

I had a hilarious interview with a company that doesn’t even know what it wants. Their job ad has been up for years, and no one seems to work there. The first interview is with a recruiter, and after 10 days, you get invited to a second interview where it’s unclear if they’re looking for a support staff, an online store operator, a developer, or a customer training manager. Then, you have to take online and psychological tests, which left me so exhausted that I decided to join another company. The interview atmosphere was extremely tense and toxic, and the people felt very robotic.

      Question 1

They asked strange questions, like, "Do you have the ability to support customers?" What does that have to do with a developer position? Or, "Can you come to the office every day?" even though I was told it’s a hybrid role. The technical manager seemed to have a passion for psychology and philosophy, asking ridiculous questions on those topics, which was honestly quite funny.

      Interview

I found they are looking for a FE devs in a Javascript chat. I replied to the guy who was working there at the moment (idk is he working there right now or not). He briefly introduced me the job details and i sent him my CV. After a couple of days HR wrote to me and invited me to the phone call. The phone call was nothing special, just a questions about my previous experience. After that she sent me frontend task (basically a form validation) and a two tests. The funny part is if you fail that tests, you will be denied. I never saw that anywhere. The tests are poor IQ tests, when they check your abilities to think fast do things quickly. Well, after i did all of these tests and a FE task, i sent it back. After a couple of days i got the email that everything is OK and the next step is going to be a technical interview. One of the guys was the guy who i contacted with in the beginning step passed fine and the guys approved me. After that HR sent me an email and we moved to the next step - talking with a software manager. I replied the HR what time works for me for the interview, she says OK. But the next day i got the email that the role is closed and they are not looking for it anymore. I asked the guy, he was shocked and didnt understand anything. After couple of messages asking 'what is happening with the role?' the guy disappeared and start to ignore my messages. Summary: wasted a lot of time, did useless IQ tests, worse experience ever. Do not go there, never, i warned you. The company is on chaos, employees do not know what is happening with their roles. The managers hold (close) the roles in the middle of the process, just because they can. They spent not just my time, but also the time of their own employees. But thanks god, it happened before i joined the company, otherwise id have to work with this managers.
