What was initially presented as a one-month process extended to over two months, with no clear updates or adjustments to expectations.
Despite assurances that each additional interview would be the final step, multiple rounds were added, creating unnecessary confusion and frustration. Additionally, references were contacted even though a final decision had not been made, which felt premature and disrespectful of their time.
The interviews themselves were overly conversational and repetitive, making it difficult to effectively demonstrate qualifications and fit for the role. The overall experience signaled a lack of clarity about what was needed from this position and from the ideal candidate.
While I appreciate the opportunity to interview, this experience raised concerns about internal alignment and decision-making. Future candidates should be prepared for an evolving process, and I hope the company takes steps to create a more structured and respectful hiring experience.
