I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Big 5 Sporting Goods
Interview
I was planning on moving from another town and had already worked for big 5 for about a year as a cashier so I stopped in the local big five to see what it was all about.
I introduced myself to the store manager and ended up getting a tour of the place. within the next month I was called in and sat down with the store manager and then the first assistant.

Question 1
When I sat down with the first assistant, she was nervous because she had never done an interview before.
We just ended up talking about what it’s like to work there and the differences between districts.
One on one interview with the district manager. I was asked questions about my resume, why I wanted to work at Big 5, and if I was willing to float to other stores to gain experience at each store location.
I applied online. I interviewed at Big 5 Sporting Goods (Las Vegas, NV) in Aug 2022
Interview
It was easy, just need to have experience about sporting goods. You just need to be your self and sell your self to them. They have asked me if I have experience on sports and also selling guns.
They are always in need of a Manager Trainee because their employees always leave and find a better job due to the low pay. So all you have to do is dress well for the interview and just listen and you basically get the job.
