During the interview, we discussed the responsibilities of the role, and I was able to effectively communicate my relevant experience and enthusiasm for the position. I believe my passion for user-centered design, coupled with my adaptability to remote collaboration, would make me a valuable addition to the team. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to User Interview's ongoing success and growth in the field of user research and design.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Bills.com
Interview
The interview went well. I will call out that I already had the decision post interview that I would not move forward with them if/when they reached out. Being a product manager is stressful enough, but they are expecting this role to be filled by someone who would do this plus project management, product ownership, etc… I have been in that position before at other companies. No thank you. Questions were typical but also outdated. “Give me an example of when…” You can’t get productive information from on the spot like that. You feel pressured to respond quick, but it should be thought through more.

Question 1
Give me an example of when you worked with engineers directly? —> As a PM this should be obvious that it is daily.
