My interview lasted five minutes. Basically sat me down and said "you aren't a fit based on the experience I am seeing here." Why bother to bring me in then? Their job posting stated they wanted someone with experience with websites, eCommerce, CRM and uploading content. I check a lot of those boxes, but I was not exclusively doing online sales in my prior position, more all purpose marketing. The salary posted was 50-55k. The guy said they wanted to increase their online sales by about 90% this year and needed someone that was an eCommerce expert. They should have posted that they needed someone with 5+ years of experience exclusively in that realm if they wanted to have someone hit the ground running and even attempt to produce that kind of growth in one year. Will be hard to find that person for 50k. I was just disappointed that it was a waste of time preparing for and going to the interview. They should have been clearer to the recruiter about what they wanted.
