I submitted a response to a Craigslist ad I found. I followed up a few days later to make sure my resume and cover letter were received. Took about a week and a half to be called for an interview. The interviewer was rushed and made little eye contact, also distracted by incoming calls.

You come in as a team. They make everything seem light and fun until you actually begin to work.
You are completely running the studies, responsible for data collection and management, all paperwork, sample handling, scheduling, everything.
