I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Birchbox
Interview
At first I had a call with a women who basically just told me about the role and then asked me to go through my resume. I thought it went okay and was actually asked back for a second interview. I had the second interview about a week later and in the middle the line went dead. I started calling back and kept getting their reception answering machine. Finally, a receptionist picked up after about three calls and I told her I was interviewing with the women and she was like, "I don't know who that is, I guess email the person who put you in touch with her." As I was emailing, the interviewer called me back and we picked up where we left off. I thought it went okay again and she even said I will reach out with next steps. Then, on the same exact day of the call, I get a no reply email saying they went ahead with someone else. Honestly, don't waste my time if you were going to pick someone else. It obviously didn't take long for you to decide. They probably already met with someone else in person before they event spoke to me. Not cool.

Question 1
What would your boss say is your strength and weakness? Go through your resume.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Birchbox (New York, NY) in Nov 2015
Interview
The first interview was with a recruiter and a member of the team. After this call, I was asked in for a 2 hour interview with 3 members of the team. A few days after this interview, I was asked to prepare a 5 page powerpoint presentation and complete an enormous excel worksheet. These 2 tests took me 4 days to prepare and I spent over 8 hours perfecting them. After sending in the tests, I was asked in for a third and final interview. During the final interview I met with 4 more senior members of the team over the course of 2 hours. I emailed each member of the team thanking them for their time and also reached out to the recruiter thanking her for setting up all these interviews. After 2 weeks of waiting to hear back from the recruiter, I received a generic email stating that my experience was not what they were looking for. I was beyond upset that they had wasted over a month of my life with interviews and tests for this job when they could clearly see my past experience and skills from my resume.

Question 1
What are your ideas for improving Birchbox? What are your favorite beauty brands?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Birchbox (New York, NY) in June 2015
Interview
First had a phone screening which was easy and then went into the office to meet with 3 people on the Merchandising team. They were nice but didn't seem like they were so interested in speaking to me. None of them seemed to have prepared questions and seemed like they were talking to me to fill space.
