I went through 3 rounds of interviews including a business case and technical assessment. The process was well organized until the final interview where someone from the sales team stated that if results weren't shown within 90 days employment would be terminated. With those exact words.
What made this particularly concerning is that this was a brand new position, meaning there was no existing infrastructure, no team, no processes. The first 90 days of any new role, especially one being built from scratch, should realistically be spent understanding the business, building foundations and establishing quick wins. Threatening termination at 90 days for a position that didn't previously exist suggests either unrealistic expectations from leadership or a fundamental misunderstanding of how new functions are built. I would even said is a junior way of thinking.
I chose to withdraw from the process as a result. If you're considering this company make sure you're comfortable with a high pressure environment where expectations may not align with the reality of the role.
