Relaxed question and answer format. Mainly to "get to know" the applicant, and verify his commitment and qualifications. It was a typical interview for an energy company, not to intense, and very friendly.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Black Elk Energy (Houston, TX)
Interview
Interview process felt more like a first date. Personality was more important than skill set. The criteria was not set on what was actually needed of the job. Felt like they made the position up based on what they thought I could do. Promotions were strictly a title change, increase in pay and/ or bonuses did not happen.
