Waste of Time
The process took a little over 4 weeks from end-to-end. Within that time I was able to start and end the process with 4 different companies and receive offers from them (one of which was Google, a company with a high bar and that is notorious for taking a long time, but apparently not as long as Blackpoint Cyber).
The people were generally nice but this process could use standardizing like the rest of the industry of 1-2 one-hour phone screens and a longer virtual onsite to condense the timeline. These one-hour chats scattered across a month was death-by-a-thousand-cuts.
Oh last thing, I didn't talk to a single woman in the entire loop.
In Blackpoint's general defense, you can't always prioritize diversity and you have to be super picky with your candidates to keep the startup ship lean, but it's a two-way street and you don't have to prioritize Blackpoint Cyber and you can be super picky with them ;)
