Painful is the best way to describe it. Ebbs and flows. They reached out to me and wanted to talk asap. Executives I know referred Square's executive recruiter to me. We spoke but I heard nothing back for over a month. I wasn't terribly interested so didn't follow up. I get another call asking for more information. Provided it. It moved more quickly - offsite interviews and then onsite visit. I agreed to speak to the GC. She was awesome. But the onsites were a bit of a joke. They changed the interviewers but didn't tell me. I had some very specific questions for the two people who were dropped from schedule - after all, at the CCO level interviews are a two way street. The interviews were odd. Intense culture in compliance. One person told me that they had applied for my current job - a bit awkward. The attorney with whom I interviewed was 6-7 minutes late to a 30 minute interview and she literally took a phone call during the interview. I primarily interviewed there for the experience of interviewing for CCO level position. But I left that day knowing I had no desire to work for this company - and highly unimpressed.
