I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Bloomberg (London, England) in Feb 2018
Interview
Longest recruiting process I have ever experienced. It is indeed a big company, but the process started in early November and finished late February. Had three different HR-contacts, and every time I addressed one I got an answer (if I ever got one) from a different one. Applied for a summer internship (starting July), and the company thought I couldn't start before October.
Invited to assessment day mid December (couldn't attend due to exam), whereas I never got a response after replying to this invitation. All of a sudden I was invited for the Team Leader interview (which resulted in two interviews rather than one due to scheduling issues).
During the in-house manager interview I had to wait for about one hour before the interview could start.
To conclude, the whole recruiting process was a massive failure from Bloomberg's side.
On a more positive note, I went through the same process a year earlier, where my experience was completely different. Other than also being a quite lengthy process (mid October to end January), the communication was vey good and the feedback from the HR-contact was superb.
Bloomberg is a place with a very friendly and supporting environment, and I assume my experience this year was a rare case - but still unacceptable.
