The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Bloomberg in July 2009
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter after applying online at Career builder (I believe). He sent me a bunch of information to read through to prepare for the technical portion of the interview, though I never made it that far. He set up a time for the first round of phone interviews. I was asked some rather general programming questions. Things seemed to go well, but I received an email a few dats later saying thanks but no thanks.

Question 1
Given a double value, find the square root without using the sqrt() function?
Interview process was really nice. they were super understanding and accommodating. Asked a lot of motivational questions as well as technical questions so they can get a sense of who you are
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Bloomberg (New York, NY) in Apr 2015
Interview
Had a horrible time with HR, recruiter was extremely difficult to get in touch. Interview was relatively easy, and my interview was very helpful in solving the problem. Nothing exceedingly difficult. Went in to the office, but had no technical interview. Mostly spoke with the head of the office for a couple hours, casually.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg in Dec 2010
Interview
Was contacted by phone. After initial phone screening having standard riddles and algo questions, I was invited to an on-site interview. There were many interviewers asking a lot of questions and didn't let you finish, constantly switching from one question to the other. Took about 7 hours. Overall it doesn't seem as a good place to work at.
