I was reached out to by an internal recruiter about what was a really great position. We spoke on a Friday and I was told I had to get my resume in over the weekend for presentation Monday. I did and heard nothing back for over a week. No response to an email from the recruiter. I finally did hear back and a 30 minute interview with the hiring manager was set up. He was a nice guy, good interview, great job. After that I heard nothing for two weeks. I reached out to the recruiting coordinator and nothing. Finally three weeks after I checked my status in their portal and it simple said no active applications. At no point did I get any email or call saying I was out of the running. I reached out to the coordinator saying I saw that and asking how to get feedback. She told me to contact someone I had never heard of before. When I asked who that was I was told it was a mistake and to contact the recruiter who originally reached out. Two emails asking for any feedback possible have gone unanswered. I am certainly not owed a job but I do think I am owed a response...even if its short. I didnt seek out the job, they reached out to me. Really bad experience. If that is how they handle candidates its a really bad sign.
