I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Blue Light Card (London, England) in Mar 2026
Interview
I had a genuinely awful interview experience with Blue Light Card.
The process started well enough. I had two interviews in quick succession, both of which went well, and the recruiter told me the company typically moved quickly. Up to that point, my experience reflected that.
Unfortunately, things quickly deteriorated after that.
It then took roughly two weeks for the company to send over the task and organise the third-stage interview. After such a fast and smooth start, the sudden slowdown felt disorganised and inconsistent. I gave the benefit of the doubt and carried on regardless.
The third-stage interview was held in person at the London office, but only one of the three interviewers who were supposed to attend actually showed up. Again, I found this strange and unprofessional, but decided to continue and make the best of it.
I spent several hours preparing the task and presenting it in person, and I felt the interview itself went well. After that, I waited to hear back regarding next steps.
I never did.
Despite the amount of time and effort I invested in the process, I was never given a clear yes or no. The recruiter — who had previously been in regular contact with Blue Light Card — told me he also hadn’t heard anything back. Eventually, I stopped following up because the silence itself became the answer.
Being ghosted after multiple interview stages and a presentation task is incredibly disrespectful to candidates’ time and effort. Sadly, this isn’t the first time I’ve experienced poor communication during a hiring process, but this was by far the worst example of it.
Regardless of the outcome, candidates deserve basic professionalism and closure. Blue Light Card seriously needs to do better.

Interview
I had a strange experience with Blue Light Card. I had an interview scheduled with James the hiring manager and waited over 30 minutes on the call with no one joining. I followed up during and after the scheduled time but received no response. Unfortunately, this made the interview experience feel disorganized and disrespectful of candidates’ time.

Thank you for sharing your experience, although I'm sorry to hear about the situation you've described - it's a long way from the candidate experience we aim to deliver.
I'm not able to obtain your details here, so please reach out to the recruiter direct who will be more than happy to rearrange the conversation. We're really sorry for the mix up, and thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Interview
Had an initial call with HR but the interviewer didn't show up to the interview and after rescheduling and confirming on a date the process never moved forward. Had to do it multiple times after which I didn't respond again
