I applied for the job via email, sent a couple of emails to others who worked there, and was contacted via email to schedule an in person interview the same week. I went to the interview the following week and was greeted by a friendly face who offered me water. The interview was with two people in a relaxed setting and it lasted an hour.
I sent thank you's to both interviewers that day, but only received a reply from one person who then requested my references and rate of pay.
I followed up around the time they said they would make a decision and I was turned down the following day via email. The turn down was a general, "we've decided to go in a different direction."
Overall, the experience was sterile. It was also a bit surprising that there was a lack of an edifying reason to the turn down. For those reasons I am rating it a negative experience. I have had better interviewing experiences and I would expect that such a great company would uphold more than the status quo.
